ABOUT BRIDGEKEEPER
|
BRIDGEKEEPER was founded by Juliette Schlucter, a nationally recognized speaker, consultant and patient advocate in the field of family-centered care. Juliette has pioneered programs that give patients and healthcare organizations the language and tools to connect with one another in a way that improves quality, safety and the experience of care.
With professionals at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Juliette created an award-winning program in which parents teach healthcare professionals about family-centered care. She wrote and developed Partners For Excellence, a workshop to teach patients and families about using health care resources effectively.
BACKGROUND
Juliette received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Villanova University and worked in training and marketing with Procter and Gamble and Control Data. For the last twelve years, Juliette has served as a the Family-Centered Care Consultant at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. As the parent of two chronically ill children, Juliette brings to her work a sensitive consumer voice coupled with a strong business and healthcare organization perspective.

AWARDS AND PUBLICATIONS
Among the honors Juliette has received is the Gene Stanford “Power-of One” Award from the Association of the Care of Children’s Health, which recognizes the ability of one individual to bring about significant change in the field of children’s health care. She is the recipient of the Service Excellence Award from Marriott Health Care Services and the Award for Innovation from the Association for the Care of Children’s Health.
Juliette has served on The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Bio-Ethics Committee, and directed the Family Faculty and Family Advisory Council. She has written articles on many aspects of patient-professional collaboration, has consulted on patient safety goals and medical education, presented at numerous grand round forums and served on the board of directors at the Association for the Care of Children’s Health.
